Love God, Love people, Make disciples

And he said this to him, ” You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-39.

And Jesus came and said to them “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20.

Jesus is telling me to love God more than this world, love all of His children and go share the good news of the gospel with the world. There is only one way to do this and that is by the power of Jesus Christ through His Holly Spirit, Philippians 4:13.

When I turn my face to God in all things, as Jesus did, He brings all things together for good. Even through the challenges, struggles and pain I experience the healing abundance of Gods love not just in my life but in the lives of others.

At AS IS Church I’ve found a faith family that is intentionally focused on this love. I have been given so many opportunities to shine His light in the Rockwood community and the city of Portland. Through 1 on 1 mentoring, group bible study, Relief ministries, Worship and Event set up, Safety and Security ministries, and more.

I would like to invite you into this relationship with Jesus and others and challenge you to seek Him before all other things. Come join me at AS IS Church, get involved, get in relationship with other Christians and experience the abundance God has for you. Then together we can go and show the world just how much Jesus loves us. Remember, Jesus showed an unfathomable love for us by dying on a cross, reconciling our sin so that we may have forgiveness through a relationship with the Father for a reason. Come and walk with me as we work out that purpose by spreading Gods love in every area of our lives.
