WE ARE NOT YOUR TYPICAL CHURCH
We do not have a Sunday morning service. What we have is a community that shows up every Wednesday night in the heart of Rockwood, East Portland, with food, open doors, and room for everyone who walks through them.
No perfect people required. No church background needed. No prerequisites of any kind.
Just come as you are.

Faith. Family. Fitness. Three things we believe belong together, and three things you will find every time you walk through our doors.
AS IS Church is an outreach community rooted in the Rockwood neighborhood of East Portland. We exist to share God's love with a broken and hurting world, one person at a time.
We believe every person who walks through our doors has a name, has a story, and matters to God. That means they matter to us. Not as a project. Not as a number. As a person.
We are the spiritual home of Underground PDX, our community outreach hub at 740 SE 182nd Ave. Together we serve families, youth, and individuals who need more than a program. They need people who know their name.

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN ROCKWOOD
Rockwood is one of the most underserved neighborhoods in the Portland metro area. High rates of poverty. Limited access to healthy food. Few safe spaces for youth after school.
We are here because this is exactly where we are supposed to be.
Every week we serve meals, run fitness programming, mentor youth, and walk alongside neighbors who need someone to show up consistently. Not just on the good weeks. Every week.


GET INVOLVED
There are many ways to be part of what is happening at AS IS Church.
Volunteer. Show up for your neighbors the way someone once showed up for you.
Give. Your generosity keeps our doors open and our tables full.
Pray. Submit a prayer request and someone from our team will pray over it personally.
