KIDS WORLD DIRECTOR
Kids World Director Specific Responsibilities
Because of the very nature of your position, your responsibilities may shift as you develop different areas of your ministry. There are some basic principles that should be a part of your commitment to excellence, these are:
You are the face of AS IS Church Kids World. While you are required to take one weekend a month off, you should be available all other weekends to greet your volunteers and help them with any other items. This does not mean you have to be in the classroom every week, but regularly scheduling yourself in the classroom monthly is important so you have knowledge of what is happening. Be early for assigned ministry responsibilities.

Caring for Kids World Families:
- Check in and meet with Church Families weekly via in person, email, or phone.
- We want families to feel connected to the church and know that they are supported. 4 of the areas of Ownership (tithing is not public knowledge) is a good gauge of whether they are connecting. Serving, Attending, Classes, and sharing their stories with others in the church.
- Fill out Google sheets with notes from conversations, concerns, etc. that also allows other staff (Scott, Kelly, Dave, Tim, and Joshua) to review and add notes.
- If a family is in need, work with appropriate person to try and help meet their needs, for example, relief ministries for food or clothing, Miguel for counseling or referrals, etc.

Training:
- Review RightNow Media for training you can send or view with your teams.
- Complete mandatory reporting training.

Teamwork:
- Work closely with Lead volunteers for nursey and grade school classes.
- Work and develop ministry leaders to implement vision and mission.
- Increasingly screen and recruit new team members with the intent of developing more teams and leaders.
- Work with other staff and ministry leaders for the good of the entire church.

Miscellaneous:
- Attend Staff Meetings, currently in person on Tuesdays from 1-2 pm
- Give creative input on how we can more efficiently and effectively serve the families at AS IS Church and in our community.
- Schedule volunteers for Kids World.
- Engage volunteers in the Kids World group on Facebook with encouragement and more than just their schedules.
- Search for and plan curriculum for Kids World.
- Manage software system (TouchPoint) for check in.
- Plan yearly budget.
- Participate in mutually agreed upon events and activities.
- Perform other duties assigned to further develop Kids World, including other administrative duties associated with the weekend and mid-week ministry opportunities.
- Keep an up to date calendar.
- Work with We Belong PDX and K-5 th grade kids during Underground workouts Monday -Thursday 3:30-6:30
- Give creative input on how we can more efficiently and effectively serve the families at AS IS Church and in our community.

REQUIREMENTS;
- Preferred 4 Years College or Ministry Experience

HOURS
- This is a paid position at 25 hours per week.
